What makes a good question
The more specific you are, the better the answer.
Andrew answers the best questions on video. These are the details that turn a vague question into one he can actually answer:
- When it happens. Cold start, freeway speed, only when braking, only when it’s hot out.
- What it sounds or feels like. Squeal, grind, click, shudder, pull to one side.
- What changed. New noise after a repair, after a battery swap, after hitting a pothole.
- Any warning lights, and whether they stay on or come and go.
- The year, make and model, plus rough mileage if you know it.
